Claudette “Claude” Moore a successful editor for an offbeat newspaper has it all. I read this book, and it was outside of the norm for me because I typically ONLY read self-help books (Dr. Wayne W. Dyer, Joe Dispenza, Don Miguel Ruiz and Deepak Chopra- to name a few.)I visited my local library the evening they held a book club meeting “Discovering New Authors” So I choose Broken Ladder and I must stay it was a sheer pleasure to read. It was engaging and keep me wanting to read more. Yeah a few typos but new authors don’t get the advantages of the Stephen Kings of the world. Anyway, I thought it was a good read, good plot and very illustrative writing I “was there” in the mist of it all based on the authors writing!!
I have since learned that the author has written more books so once I finish this review I plan to purchase her books.

It was good, but not great. I noticed several grammar mistakes which immediately turned me off to this novel. It is well written, but I wasn't crazy about the plot, and overall it seemed depressing. Kind of glad I didn't pay for this one and that it was a prime loan!
This book was amazing...I couldn't put it down after I picked it up....I would recommend this book to anyone that loves a drama filled book. I love all of the author's books and can't wait for her to publish more...I will NOT be patiently waiting because I am so ready for the next one...
Picked up the book this afternoon and read it from cover. The writer pulls you in, makes you feel as though you are right there in the scene.
I recommend this book to others and I look forward to reading her other books.
