The dialogue is dark and there are harrowing rescues, battles with the clan’s mortal enemy and plenty of side stories. It’s the humor and sizzling sexcapades that gives this often dark plotted storyline relief. Reading this series in order is a must.
The audible edition is once again left to the very capable voice of Charles Lawrence who handles all the voices but he’s especially great at the immortal males who he gives an extra special deep inflection but he’s also good with the female voices.
SUMMARY:

Then when her father was first diagnosed with dementia her mother disappeared from the face of the earth. Now she’s the sole caretaker of her father whose lost most of his mental capabilities so she doesn’t have time for a social life or any life for that matter. When two strange men show up at her family’s café one is huge and intimidating and one is too handsome to believe she has no idea that they will introduce her to a world that’s out of this world, one will become her lover and one will become a father she never knew existed.

Love the men and women the author brought to life. Most of the men are strong, hunks, honorable. The women are beautiful,
smart, strong willed. If your not into sex in you books these are not for you. But if you like sex in your books then you'll love these. Happy reading.
Not my normal reading but will be from now on! Read all 9 books in 12 days! Hardddddddd to put down! Love how all characters are in each book but yet each book is about certain characters!
Be prepared to lose sleep,could not get book out of my mind when I needed sleep! Had to get up and continue reading!
Paranormal romance, mystery of the Children of the Gods......they are immortal beings searching for others who have a genetic connection to their race and this becomes evident with the showing of unusual abilities such as foreseeing the future, able to detect when someone is lying, and other psychic abilities....Hoping to find mates ....they do have a huge appetite for sexual activity....then there is an on going war with another immortal clan where the beliefs are very different from Kian's clan.... The story continues with adding new characters, to expand the story line, the author creates an atmosphere of suspense and intrigue...............
I have waited to write this review for all the books in this series because I just couldn't put them down. I had to continue to read the next in the series. I just couldn't stop to write each books review. Each of these books in this series is so compelling that I just had to continue read them all. I have enjoyed each book in this series and can't wait for more to be written Once you start this series you won't put it down. Read this you won't regret it. I really loved how this time line is set in to today's time. It makes you wonder if it could be true.
I have read all of the currently published “Children of the Gods” series. I’m waiting anxiously for the next installment to come out! I have thoroughly enjoyed the series so far! I’m not a fan of romance novels and don’t particularly like racy, sexual exploits, unless they bring something to the storyline. This series has it all, and it didn’t phase me at all negatively - in fact, it all seemed to belong and enhance the story.
How the author kept all of the storylines straight, through so many volumes - is nothing short of mind blowing! There are so many characters, each with a fully-formed, and fleshed-out (no pun intended) story of their own.
I have recommended this series to all of my friends - which I don’t do very often.
I’m not looking forward to the end of the series, but I know it’s inevitable.
I loved reading this series. But a few things would've made it even better
1. Timeline. Felt like everything happened within a couple of weeks.. no way! Please spell it out.
2. Why make everything happen so quickly? ... they're immortal! 3. So many directions but no final answers....I understand that more books are in the works but it seems like random thoughts are shared but not finalized which just leaves frustration.
4. Loved the twist and turns ... unique ... but then became predictable ... which then feels like a let down because it was left incomplete.
I'll read any further books because I've grown to love the characters but feel let down. These could've been written as a trilogy thus reducing the redundancy which would've made for a better read.
I look forward to seeing where the characters go from here and find out more about others that have yet to be uncovered. Plus we need kids to continue the legacy.
